How Aviation Jobs are Related to Health Care

Health care is the field that focuses on providing medical services and improving the
overall health of individuals and communities. O the other hand, the aviation industry is
responsible for the operation of aircraft and the transportation of people and goods by air. As a
passenger service agent, my work relates to healthcare in various ways, including sharing
improved safety through enhanced regulations, enhancing access to health services, and
facilitating improved working conditions for healthcare professionals.
As a passenger service agent in the aviation industry, I am responsible for ensuring the
safety of passengers before and during flights. It includes following strict regulations and
protocols to ensure that aircraft are in good condition and ready for operation. These regulations
also extend to the health and well-being of passengers, such as ensuring that they are not
carrying any prohibited items or have any communicable diseases (Rosen et al., 2018). By
following these regulations, I am contributing to passengers' overall health and safety and
helping to prevent the spread of illness.
The aviation industry plays a vital role in providing accessible healthcare services to
people around the world. For example, many remote or underserved communities rely on air
transportation to access medical facilities or to transport patients to hospitals for specialized care
(Rosen et al., 2018). As a passenger service agent, I am part of the team that facilitates these
important medical flights, helping to ensure that people have access to the health care they need,
regardless of where they live.
Working in the aviation industry also has the potential to improve the working conditions
of healthcare professionals. For example, airline crews often have access to onboard medical
equipment. They are trained in basic medical procedures, which can be helpful in a medical

3
emergency on a flight (Rosen et al., 2018). Additionally, the aviation industry has strict
regulations in place to protect the health and well-being of employees, such as regulations related
to fatigue and work schedules (Rosen et al., 2018). By working in an industry that values the
health and well-being of its employees, I am contributing to the overall improvement of working
conditions in the healthcare field.
In conclusion, my work in the aviation industry is directly related to health care in several
ways. Through enhanced safety regulations, increased accessibility to healthcare services, and
improved working conditions, I can positively impact the health and well-being of my clients
worldwide as a passenger service agent in aviation and a healthcare professional.
