understand how the technology enables better learning delivery and application in nursing
practice.
Virtual learning is currently taken seriously worldwide, and healthcare is among the
industries where virtual learning is practiced. In this context, virtual simulation is rapidly
growing in application to offer benefits to learners, a (VLE) known as virtual nursing
simulations. Iuppa (2023) described virtual nursing simulation as a clinical experience where
nurses interact with patients virtually through a digital learning environment. Nurses can make
decisions after assessment and diagnosis without risks of in-patient interaction. For example,
during the Covid-19 pandemic, virtual nursing simulation was applied to manage patients and
train nursing students and practicing nurses in clinical education.
In nursing practice, patient safety is indispensable in nursing education. The education of
clinical nurses has become a challenge for various stakeholders, including governments, health
managers, health educators, and nursing students, to achieve the quality and safety of virtual
learning and nursing practice (Lee et al., 2023). In applying virtual simulation in nursing
practice, health educators and managers should ensure the student accesses the information in
real-time. The practical application uses parallel processes and a multitasking graphical text in a
networked learning and working environment.

In conclusion, nursing informatics is a critical knowledge and skill in healthcare. Trained
and certified nurses in nursing informatics can be useful in clinical reasoning concerning
achieving quality decision-making. Overall, the development of nursing virtual simulation
enhances pedagogical strategy, acting as clinical knowledge retention, reasoning, improved
learning and self-efficacy.
