Personal Assessment

I am happy with my diet, exercise routine, and study habits/schedule. I could improve my diet by eating more vegetables and drinking more water. I could improve my exercise routine by adding more cardio and strength training. I could also improve my study habits/schedule by studying for exams in advance and taking more breaks. I normally relax by having family time, hanging out with friends, watching TV, and listening to soft rock music. I renew myself by enjoying nature, practicing yoga, and meditating. Some of my primary concerns and stressors include my mental health, my physical health, and my academics.

Personal Goals

It is important to be proactive about our mental, physical, and spiritual health and well-being and to continuously work towards our goals for self-improvement. After taking a close look at my self-assessment, I have determined that some areas of my life I am satisfied with and others that could use some attention. Regarding mental health, I am generally happy with where I am. I have a good family and friends support system, and I can cope with stress healthily. I do, however, want to continue to work on my anxiety and stress levels and my ability to manage my time and set boundaries. I will do this by setting aside time each week to relax and unwind and making a conscious effort to stick to a schedule and say "no" when needed. In terms of physical health, I am also generally satisfied. I eat a healthy diet, exercise regularly, and get enough sleep. However, I would like to improve my fitness level, as well as my flexibility and strength. I will do this by adding more challenging exercises to my routine and practicing yoga or stretching more often.

Settling the Intention

I will set an intention for wholeness and balance in my life by taking time each day to connect with my higher power, meditate, and set my intention for the day. I will also take time each week to connect with my support system, whether my therapist, my sponsor, or my friends in recovery, and set my intention for the week. I will schedule time for self-care each week and include activities that nurture my mind, body, and soul. I will also be mindful of my thoughts and words and only speak and think of things that align with my intention for wholeness and balance. It is important to me to live a life that is in balance, and I know that in order to do so, I must first connect with my higher power and set my intention for the day. I will start each day by sitting in silence for a few minutes and connecting with my higher power. I will then meditate on my intention for the day and visualize myself achieving it. In order to maintain balance in my life, I need to take time each day to connect with my higher power and set my intention.

Paying Attention to Self-Talk

One way to pay attention to self-talk is to notice when you are critical of yourself. So, try to catch yourself and stop. Instead, try to be more open and nonjudgmental with yourself. Another way to pay attention to self-talk is to identify an inner coach or critic. An inner coach is a positive voice that encourages and supports you. An inner critic is a negative voice that puts you down and tells you that you cannot do something. If you find that you have an inner critic, try to counter it with positive self-talk. Paying attention to self-talk can be difficult, but it is an important part of self-care. By doing so, we can change negative thinking patterns and become more supportive of ourselves. As part of my self-care plan, I will focus on my inner dialogue and try to be more aware of my inner critic or coach. I will be open and nonjudgmental in my self-talk and strive to listen to my inner dialogue more carefully. By doing this, I will be able to better understand myself and my needs, and I will be better able to take care of myself.

Simplifying Life

One of the best ways to simplify your life is to reduce or eliminate clutter and redundancy. For me, this means organizing my workspace so I can easily find what I need and setting limits on how much time I spend on social media. One way I reduce clutter in my life is by keeping my workspace organized. I have a specific place for everything, and I put things away when I am finished with them. This way, I know where everything is and can save time looking for things. Another way I reduce clutter is by setting limits on my time on social media. I check social media for a few minutes daily, but I do not allow myself to get sucked into scrolling for hours. This way, I avoid wasting time on things that are not important, and I focus on the things that are. Overall, simplifying your life by reducing or eliminating clutter and redundancy can be extremely beneficial. It can help you to be more productive
